Flickr will ask you to authorize 2tagger to access your account, go ahead and click 'OK, I'LL ALLOW IT'. IT'.
This will allow 2Tagger to add tags and geospatial metadata to your photos.

Geotagging with Dodgeball


 


Dodgeball is a social-networking technology which uses text messages to coordinate location between people in a group.  You send a text message with your location to Dodgeball, and it tells your friends.


 


We've integrated Dodgeball with 2Tagger.  You tell 2Tagger who you are on 2Tagger, and it automatically locates where you are based on your latest position on Dodgeball.


 


This is a new feature, and we are currently improving it.  If you run into any problems please e mail HuffmanTM@gmail.com so we can help fix it.


 


How to do it...


 


You'll need a Dodgeball account.  You can get one here.  Notice Dodgeball is owned by Google, and so if you have a Gmail account setting it up

You can geotag your photo using the interface as well.  There is a small Google Map on the right hand side with a marker in it.  Move the marker around till you find the right spot, and click 'Geotag'.  This will add the GPS coordinates to your photo.


 


If you press 'Get Nearby Tags' 2tagger will look for other photos that were taken nearby and offer tag suggestions below the map.  Click on a tag to add it to the photo.  This feature is a little slow because of how much work it takes to sort through all the possible locations, so be patient and give it a few seconds.

In the middle you'll see a text box and two buttons, 'Add Tags' and 'More Tags'.  To manually add tags to the photo type them into the text box, with tags seperated by spaces and press the 'Add Tags' button.

Once you've added at least one tag try pressing the 'More Tags'

If there is a tag in the set that brings up no 'Related' tags, then the 'More Tags' button doesn't work.
However, clicking on the photo does make it work just fine.
